If you have studied English in conjunction with education abroad and you need English B-levels to be able to meet requirements for further education in Denmark, your prior qualifications can be assessed at Aarhus HF and VUC.
We recommend for you to always contact the education you wish to apply for in order to make sure the IKV meets the admission requirements. Certain educations require grades in upper secondary school subjects in which case IKV will not be sufficient to meet the admission requirements as an IKV certificate does not provide a grade.
It is required that your qualifications are adequately documented, for example exam certificates, course descriptions etc.
The application form can be filled in here. Next, please fill in the self-assessment form. In doing so, it will be evident what the requirements are for English B-levels, and in the form, you must also account for how your qualifications correspond to the academic objectives and core substance of the course.
Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org including your documentation and the self-assessment form. Should we estimate that your documentation is inadequate, we may refuse to initiate an assessment.
It is an English teacher who will assess the submitted documentation and you could be asked to do an interview or further written assignments or tests.
Your application will be processed within four weeks.
Should you wish to make a formal complaint of the assessment, you may follow the following procedure:
1. Submit your complaint to us at Aarhus HF and VUC and we will send it on to the Qualifications Council.
2. It must be filed no later than four weeks after the reception of our decision.
